3Com's common stock has been traded on the Nasdaq National Market since the company's initial public offering (IPO) on March 21, 1984. As of July 29, 2005, the company had approximately 4,895 stockholders. The shareholders that owned more than 5% of 3Com's common stock as of July 29, 2005 included: Merrill Lynch & Co Inc (8.3%); Barclay's Global Investors (8.0%); and, Brandes Investment Partners LP (5.2%).
