AT&T Inc is the largest communications holding company in the US and worldwide, by revenue. In the US, the company provides wireless, high-speed Internet access, local and long-distance voice, and directory publishing and advertising services. It also provides IP-based communications services globally to businesses under the AT&T brand. As part of its "three screen" integration strategy, AT&T is expanding video entertainment offerings to include such next-generation television services as AT&T U-verse TV. As of September 2007, the company was serving almost 63 million fixed-line telephone, 13.7 million broadband, and more than 65 million wireless customers. The 'new' AT&T was formed as a result of SBC Communications' acquisition of AT&T Corp, and adopting the AT&T Inc name, in November 2005. The subsequent merger of AT&T and BellSouth in 2006 consolidated ownership of Cingular Wireless (a provider of both wireless voice and data communications services across the US) and YELLOWPAGES.COM, the directories and advertising company. As a result of the acquisition of BellSouth, AT&T now serves customers with a concentration in 22 states: Alabama, Arkansas, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Wisconsin. In November 2007, AT&T also acquired Dobson Communications, a provider of wireless services mainly in rural and suburban areas. AT&T's common stock is listed on the New York Stock Exchange.
