T-Mobile International AG & Co KG was created in December 1999 as a wholly-owned holding company for Deutsche Telekom's mobile interests worldwide. The principal services offered by T-Mobile are digital mobile telephony services based on GSM technology and non-voice services, such as SMS, MMS, and other data services to residential and business customers based on circuit switched data (CSD), GPRS, and UMTS technologies. T-Mobile also operates numerous W-LAN HotSpots and sells mobile devices to customers in conjunction with its service offerings. T-Mobile's principal markets include: Germany, the US, the UK, Austria, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Hungary, Poland, Croatia, Slovakia, Macedonia, and Montenegro.
